Restonic Memory Foam Mattress
Restonic is one of few mattress manufacturers that are able to promote themselves in a very unique way that attracts forefront attention. They are highly innovative as evident from their line of Sleep Odyssey and Air mattresses. However, their Restonic Memory Foam Mattress has been innovative with a technology called “phase change.”
Unlike many traditional mattresses, the memory foam mattress utilizes a particular type of foam called visoelastic. It is a big word but what it means is the air bubbles are connected to one another, also referred to as open cell. It is sensitive to weight and heat, and has seen an exponential increase in popularity. The viscoelastic foam contours the shape of the person sleeping, thus providing much greater support and relieving certain pressure points.
SensiSleep is a particular model of the memory foam mattress that is 10″ thick and has 3 layers. The first layer has foam (not viscoelastic). The 2nd layer has a 1″ poly-support layer, and the top layer has the 3.25″ of Visoelastic. The combination of these three layers provides unimaginable support and comfort.
There is a bit of a debate that goes on with the quality of sleep that these mattresses provide. I do recommend that if you choose to go with the memory foam mattress route to make sure that you get one that has a density of 5lbs or greater. From our test and research that we completed, anything less than 5lb will not give your body and pressure points the support that it really needs.
You will notice, in addition to better sleep, the bet providing more warmth because of the high-density layers with convoluted foam. I’m starting to notice more and more mattresses having this layer, even Tempurpedic.
The only way to determine if this bed is for you is to actually spend some time sleeping on it. Unfortunately, most places will not let you sleep on the bed for a full night to determine if the bed is right for you. In our tests, you need to lay on there for about 15-20 minutes if to determine if the bed will be a good fit for you. In your search for your Restonic memory foam mattress, spend a great deal of time to determine the level of support for your body.
